| Xfire Inc., a social media application and gamer Web site has agreed to be purchased by Viacom in a deal worth $102 million. The company will be grouped with Neopets, GoCityKids.com, iFilm, GameTrailers.com, MTV's Overdrive and Comedy Central's MotherLoad as part of Viacom's MTV Networks family of Web properties. Xfire was founded in 2004 and has approximately four million registered users. |
